Records of St. Joseph Parish Catholic Church, Port Gibson, Ms.:
Baptisms 17 Aug., 1884--Sponsors Mary Burke & Willie Calcote:
Willis Middleton Calcote, born 6 April 1883
Margaret Ola Calcote, born 24 Jan., 1881
Ruth Rosella Calcote, born 24 Sep 1886
( I do not know whether these children go with Willis. Since Willis M. Calcote, Jr. was married to Mary Burke, I have moved Mary Hodges to be the wife of this Willis Calcote.)
Frances Brite indicates that Mary D. Hodges Calcote, widow of Willis M. Calcote, was still living in 1920 in Natchez.

The tombstone of Della Calcote is located in Mt.Carmel Cemetery near Hamburg, Ms. in Franklin County. There is no tomb for David, so he must have been buried somewhere else. Louise Wood Calcote, wife of Cade Calcote, told me that David was buried somewhere in Arkansas, perhaps near "Stripping Springs, Ark." Jeffie Wallace Calcote told me that David was dead when his sons left Franklin County to go to the Mississippi Delta. (RVC)
David Calcote was a farmer who weighed about 300 pounds.
