Individual Note:
     Aunt Ira and Aunt Ella dipped snuff. They ususally had a little twig from a tree in their mouths used for dipping snuff.

Aunt Ira was thin with straight brown hair and a stern countenance. Aunt Ella was chubby, had beautiful golden curls and liked to display them over her forehead. She always had curly bangs. Aunt Ira and Aunt Ella married brothers.

They lived out from Pine Grove where there is so much beautiful sand. "Their house did not get dirty like our's did in Natalbany. Natalbany had black dirt."

Individual Note:
     Fannie and Lee were devout members of the Pentecostal Church with headquarters located in Cleveland, Tennessee. They moved to Cleveland and two of their daughters worked in the offices of the Church. Gena's mother, Mattie Cutrer, lived with Fannie and Lee for a period of time before they moved to Cleveland. Mattie was deeply effected by the beliefs and practices of the Pentecostal Church.
